Nine high school Marians participated in the 2010-2011 Mathematics Challenge of the Filipino KidsTraining Program (MCFKTP) Qualifying Examination held at Santiago Cultural Institute, Santiago City, Isabela last August 7.
Julienne Baustita, Tatsuya Kawaguchi, Marl Jay Ramos, Leo Arcangel, Samuel Riemann Soliven, Czarinne Antionette Antonio, Patrick Aldrei Costales and Myrtle Grospe were all qualified in the said qualifying examination.


Kawaguchi and Ramos continued on to the next stage of the program where they will attend 12 Saturday training sessions and if certified, they may join in some international competitions namely, South Asia Primary Math Olympiad, American Mathematics Competition (AMC) 8/10/12, Canadian Open Math Challenge, and the Canadian Mathematics Competition.
Mrs. Fe Lumogdang, MICTS Coordinator and Dr. Samuel Soliven served as coaches in the said examination.
