Hataw Highlights Karadkad Festival 2016

Saint Mary’s University Junior High School in collaboration with the program of the National Nutrition Council (NNC) celebrated “Karadkad Festival,” with the theme “First 1000 days ni baby pahalagahan para sa malusog na kinabukasan”.

The MAPEH Department spearheaded the said activity. The month-long celebration consisted of the line-up of activities like “Aglako” for all grade level, “Salaknib”, “Ladawan” or Poster Making, “Simposyum” and” Eksamin.” The Hataw competition highlighted the said festival.

Foremost reasons for these activities were discussed in the respective Health subjects. It became an avenue for the students to be aware of health- related  issues. The month-long celebration made the students aware of the essence of health and nutrition.


It was also the time to showcase the talents of the students for everyone in the institution believe that, “Talents unshared are talents wasted.”#

Annual Parents – Teachers General Assembly (PTA) was held last July 9,2016 at Saint Mary’s University Tonus Gymnasium.

The meeting was aimed to inform the all stakeholders of the school’s accomplishments, programs, and plans; acquaint parents with the new faculty and staff; present the accomplishments of the PTA for SY 2015-2016; and elect the new set of PTA Central Board Officers for SY 2016 – 2017.

The said activity was attended by teachers, parents, guardians, faculty and staff and administrators.


The newly elected officers are Mr. Benigno T. Tabago Jr., as President; Eusebio C. Ildefonso, Vice-President; Rodolfo C. Espiritu, Secretary; Rodel Abellana, Treasurer; Leo M. Del Mundo and Rechelle C. Cabasal, Auditors; Josephine R. Arrida as PIO; Zaldy R. Magno and Eleonor Andres, Business Managers.

High School Marians qualify for International contests

Nine high school Marians participated in the 2010-2011 Mathematics Challenge of the Filipino KidsTraining Program (MCFKTP) Qualifying Examination held at Santiago Cultural Institute, Santiago City, Isabela last August 7.
Julienne Baustita, Tatsuya Kawaguchi, Marl Jay Ramos, Leo Arcangel, Samuel Riemann Soliven, Czarinne Antionette Antonio, Patrick Aldrei Costales and Myrtle Grospe were all qualified in the said qualifying examination.
